Description

The Hotel Paradiso Verde (Green Paradise) is born from the life long dream of Ademaro and his ideas about tourism and hospitality. Enlarged and renovated in 2010 the hotel is managed by the Dani family who have been hoteliers since 1958. Located at Marina di Bibbona on the portion of the Tuscan coast known as Costa degli Etruschi (Etruscan Coast), the hotel is found next to the town’s historical eighteenth-century Medici fortress and the beachfront.

All 40 hotel rooms include a private bathroom, hairdryer, air-conditioning, heating, telephone, satellite TV, terrace, and some rooms offer safes and a fridge. Available in the hotels restaurant is a breakfast buffet and a menu for lunches and dinners. The hotel has its own swimming pool (16x8 metres) which is suitable for both children and adults. Private car parking is provided. Hotel Paradiso Verde is ideal for a great holiday in Tuscany, a perfect balance between relaxation and culture. Its strategic location provides guests the opportunity to discover a fascinating region stepped in history and offering outstanding coastal beauty, nature, art, culture, wine, gastronomy and of course a great climate. From each room the alluring Mediterranean ocean is but a short walking distance and provides safe swimming, water sports, fishing and an extensive sand beach. Marina di Bibbona is internationally recognised by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) through it’s Blue Flag programme for sustainable beach development and has passed strict criteria’s for water quality, environmental education and information, environmental management, safety and other services. In addition since 2004 the area has also received similar awards from the Italian Lega Ambiente. From Marina di Bibbona there are sweeping views of the Tuscan archipelago islands of Capraia, Gorgona and Elba and on clear days even to the French island of Corsica. The sun sets are not to be missed. Although the island of Elba obscures views of the southern archipelago islands they can be easily reached by ferry from the ports of Piombino or Porto Santo Stefano and make for interesting day trips. Walking distance from the hotel there are stands of Mediterranean pine with extensive networks of well signed tracks for walking, biking, or horse riding. Bike and horse hire is locally available. A short drive from the Hotel Paradiso Verde there are many natural parks which are well suited to sightseeing, riding, mountain biking, and hiking. By arrangement visits can be made to World a Wildlife Fund (WWF) managed area at nearby Bolgheri. Alternatively you can make trips to the many small hill villages to immerse yourself in their magical charms, villages like nearby Bibbona, Casale Marittimo, Guardistallo, Montescudaio, Sassetta, Riparbella, Castagneto Carducci and Bolgheri, the latter village being famous for a long alley of cypress trees, described by the Nobel laureate Giosuè Carducci. For art and history enthusiasts day trips can be easily made to the important cities of Florence, Pisa, Lucca, San Gimignano and Volterra, or to Venturina, famous for its spas and Populonia with its Etruscan ruins and medieval tower with stunning coastal lookout. For lovers of Italian cuisine you can discover traditional Tuscan flavours such as the local delicacy Cacciucco alla Livornese, a robust seafood soup, or wild game dishes of Cinghiale (wild boar) caught in the surrounding hills, and Bistecca di Chianina, the mouth watering steak from Tuscany’s own cattle breed the Chianina. A Tuscan meal is not complete without fine wine and the Hotel Paradiso Verde is surrounded by many important vineyards such as the renowned and high end Sassicaia Ornellaia, or the more modest reds of Montescudaio, and the Terratico of Bibbona. These and many more vineyards can be easily discovered and wines purchased by taking a trip on La Strada del Vino, the well organised wine trail complete with its own comprehensive website. A little further afield into the Tuscan hinterland there is the regions of Chianti, famous for its namesake wine or Siena with wines such as the Vernaccia di San Gimignano, the Rosso and Brunello di Montalcino. For those who can’t resist a little shopping while on holiday then nearby Cecina offers a good variety of shops and the not to be missed Tuesday morning market, the largest of its type in Tuscany. What ever your holiday needs the Hotel Paradiso Verde can offer you the perfect accommodation package.
